Dr. Janaki Ramanathan, DMD was born in Chennai, India and moved to the United States with her family when she was 5 years old and she grew up in Long Island, New York.

She pursued her dream to become a dentist by attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Following her completion of dental school, she pursued a residency in hospital dentistry at Kino Community Hospital in Tucson, AZ.

During her residency she developed a passion for treating children and following the completion of her training she entered into private practice caring for children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities for 18 years.

Dr. Ramanathan is loved by her patients as a caring and compassionate dentist dedicated to providing the highest level of treatment in the best possible environment. Dr. Ramanathan is trained in Oral Sedation and has received training distinction in this area of dentistry through the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

An avid runner a and dedicated mother of two children, Dr. Ramanathan brings the perfect combination of professionalism, skill and motherly compassion to all her patients for the benefit of their dental health and well-being! Her mission is to provide the best quality dental care, and to teach the children that going to the dentist is a fun and positive experience.
